Book a Builder terms
Book a Builder: $75 + GST ($86.25 including GST) per worker per started hour. The upfront payment covers one worker’s first hour and is not charged again. Approved working time is added together for each worker on this job, breaks excluded, then rounded up to whole hours. Auckland travel is included. A second worker, extra time and materials must be agreed before incurring the charge. Materials appear separately on the final invoice. No automatic extra card charges. The booked window is an allowance, not a promise to finish the job. Cancel for a refund or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice; any later cancellation charge is limited to reasonable loss. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Work allowance and authority
The selected work window authorises that many hours for one builder. The booking customer confirms authority to approve the work, pay the charges and arrange lawful property access. Tell us about known hazards and access restrictions. Additional workers, hours or materials require agreement before the cost is incurred. A booking does not guarantee a task can be completed in the selected time.
Time and billing
Actual onsite working time is recorded for each person, with unpaid breaks excluded. We combine each worker’s time on the job, then round that total up to a whole hour. Travel within Auckland is included. The upfront $86.25 pays for the first hour of one worker’s labour; it is not charged again. Agreed materials and additional labour are itemised in the final invoice, due seven calendar days after issue. The website does not automatically debit your card for extras.
Suitable work and safety
We confirm that the work is within our capability and can be carried out safely. Electrical, plumbing, asbestos, engineering certification and other specialist services are separate. Necessary consents, licences and authorisations still apply. If we cannot provide the booked service, we arrange an appropriate refund. Call for urgent make-safe help; emergency attendance and pricing are agreed separately.
Changes, cancellation and support
Contact Caleb for a full first-hour refund or free rescheduling at least 24 hours before the appointment. Any later cancellation or missed-access charge is limited to reasonable loss, taking mitigation into account. Safety or weather-related rescheduling is free.
