These terms explain the information and services on the TrickyBuilds Ltd website.

Website information and budgets

Our service information and budget planners help you explore a project. Budget ranges include GST where stated and use the scope, assumptions and exclusions shown. They are indicative estimates, not fixed-price quotes or offers to carry out work.

Project requirements vary by property and scope. Design, engineering, approvals and specialist input are considered for your project before construction is agreed.

Enquiries and project agreements

Sending an enquiry is free and does not reserve a start date or create a construction contract. We respond to new enquiries within 1 working day, Monday–Friday excluding New Zealand public holidays.

Before project work begins, the scope, price, payment arrangements, programme and applicable construction terms are agreed separately in writing. Changes to the scope and any additional fees need agreement.

Paid site visits

A site visit is $75 NZD including GST for a 60-minute discussion and a written estimate. The full fee is credited to the same job if you proceed within six months of the visit. Read our site-visit terms for inclusions, cancellation, rescheduling and refunds. Those terms govern the site-visit booking.

Photos, plans and project examples

Only send files you have permission to share. Project photos illustrate the work described on their project page. Images identified as design concepts do not represent completed construction. Contact us before reusing our photos or website content.

Privacy and external services

Our privacy policy explains how we handle enquiries, files, bookings and website measurement. Links to other websites and the optional Google map are provided for convenience; those services have their own terms and privacy policies.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
