Before work starts
- Identify shared access, driveways, parking and any easements with the relevant property professionals.
- Agree the site contact and how neighbours can raise a question. Obtain permission before sharing anyone’s contact details.
- Plan deliveries, unloading, storage and pedestrian routes with the contractor.
- Discuss expected working arrangements, noisy stages and known access disruptions. Applicable site rules and consent conditions need to be checked for the property.
- Record the existing condition of neighbouring interfaces where appropriate, with permission for access or photos.
During the project
Keep agreed access routes clear, advise affected people of planned disruptions and record concerns so the responsible person can respond. Changes to access or neighbouring property require the relevant permissions before work proceeds.
At completion
Review agreed reinstatement, remove temporary arrangements when appropriate and confirm the ongoing contact for any follow-up questions.
