This is a general care guide for this service. Use the instructions for the products actually installed and the information supplied for your job. Manufacturer links are reference resources, not a statement that those brands were used on your project.

Looking after the work

  • Walk the perimeter and look for gaps under gates, damaged fence sections and objects that could become climbing aids.
  • Keep bins, furniture and stored materials away from escape routes. Recheck vegetation and nearby structures as they grow or change.
  • For roller systems, check that components operate as the manufacturer specifies. For netting or other systems, use the instructions supplied for that product.
  • Supervise initial use and recheck after storms or alterations. If your cat finds an escape route, keep it safely contained indoors until the boundary has been assessed.

When to contact us

  • A jammed or damaged component, open gate, loose netting or a new climbing route.
  • Any escape attempt that reveals a gap in the containment design.

For an immediate threat to people, leave the danger area and call 111. For urgent building assistance, call 021 041 3920 to check availability. The online form is not an emergency service.

Keep these records

  • Installed system and component details
  • Manufacturer instructions and perimeter photographs
  • Changes to the garden, gates or neighbouring boundary

Keep a dated record of observations, cleaning, servicing and repairs. Share relevant records when asking for help. Only carry out work you can do safely and competently; use the appropriate qualified trade for specialist work.
