TrickyBuilds guidance · Checked 22 October 2026 · About TrickyBuilds
This is a general care guide for this service. Use the instructions for the products actually installed and the information supplied for your job. Manufacturer links are reference resources, not a statement that those brands were used on your project.
Looking after the work
- Keep equipment vents open and clean devices to their own manuals. Avoid storing items on power supplies or bundling heat-producing equipment tightly together.
- Check cables for tension, pinching and wear when moving a desk or display. Keep drinks away from electrical equipment.
- Observe power-board load limits and inspect for damage. Do not connect power boards in a chain or use damaged equipment.
- Check the agreed load limits before adding heavier screens, shelving or equipment. Ask for help if a wall fixing or desk connection moves.
When to contact us
- A hot, damaged or discoloured plug, intermittent power or a burning smell.
- Loose mounts, unstable furniture or cables pulled tight at full desk travel.
For an immediate threat to people, leave the danger area and call 111. For urgent building assistance, call 021 041 3920 to check availability. The online form is not an emergency service.
Keep these records
- Mount and furniture specifications
- Equipment manuals and relevant electrical records
- Cable layout and installed-product list
Keep a dated record of observations, cleaning, servicing and repairs. Share relevant records when asking for help. Only carry out work you can do safely and competently; use the appropriate qualified trade for specialist work.
