TrickyBuilds guidance · Checked 22 October 2026 · About TrickyBuilds

This is a general care guide for this service. Use the instructions for the products actually installed and the information supplied for your job. Manufacturer links are reference resources, not a statement that those brands were used on your project.

Looking after the work

  • Read the inspection scope, access limitations and photographs together. Areas that were not visible remain unassessed.
  • List recommended actions by urgency and ask the appropriate trade to confirm repair scope before work begins.
  • Keep dated records of leaks, weather conditions and any change since inspection. Send new observations when requesting follow-up.
  • Follow the actual roof manufacturer’s maintenance guide and use safe professional access. An inspection is not a guarantee against future leaks.

When to contact us

  • An active leak, loose roofing or new damage after a storm.
  • A recommendation that has not been addressed, or a change outside the inspected area.

For an immediate threat to people, leave the danger area and call 111. For urgent building assistance, call 021 041 3920 to check availability. The online form is not an emergency service.

Keep these records

  • Inspection report, photos and limitations
  • Repair quotes, completion evidence and roof care instructions
  • Dates of subsequent weather events and observations

Keep a dated record of observations, cleaning, servicing and repairs. Share relevant records when asking for help. Only carry out work you can do safely and competently; use the appropriate qualified trade for specialist work.
