TrickyBuilds guidance · Checked 22 October 2026 · About TrickyBuilds
This is a general care guide for this service. Use the instructions for the products actually installed and the information supplied for your job. Manufacturer links are reference resources, not a statement that those brands were used on your project.
Looking after the work
- Keep a written record of the agreed use and any limits documented for the building. Check before adding plumbing or changing the use.
- Ventilate and heat the room appropriately, particularly if it is used only occasionally. Avoid storing damp items against the lining.
- Keep external vents and accessible drainage paths clear. Observe joinery and exterior finishes after heavy rain.
- Arrange product servicing and exterior care according to the systems installed. Ask before modifying walls or attaching heavy fixtures.
When to contact us
- Persistent dampness, mould, water staining or movement at the building supports.
- Damage to linings, joinery or service connections.
For an immediate threat to people, leave the danger area and call 111. For urgent building assistance, call 021 041 3920 to check availability. The online form is not an emergency service.
Keep these records
- Approved use and project scope
- Relevant approvals and trade records
- Exterior, joinery and interior care instructions
Keep a dated record of observations, cleaning, servicing and repairs. Share relevant records when asking for help. Only carry out work you can do safely and competently; use the appropriate qualified trade for specialist work.
