TrickyBuilds guidance · Checked 22 October 2026 · About TrickyBuilds
This is a general care guide for this service. Use the instructions for the products actually installed and the information supplied for your job. Manufacturer links are reference resources, not a statement that those brands were used on your project.
Looking after the work
- Keep separate records for the building, its support system, site services and any transport work.
- Manage moisture through the installed ventilation and heating systems. Keep air paths and access to service equipment clear.
- Follow the maintenance instructions for the actual roof, exterior, joinery and appliances rather than a generic tiny-home schedule.
- Before relocation or a change of use, obtain advice on the building, transport, support, connections and approval requirements. A completed installation is not permission to move it anywhere.
When to contact us
- New movement at supports or connections, water ingress or recurring condensation.
- A damaged service connection or a change after relocation.
For an immediate threat to people, leave the danger area and call 111. For urgent building assistance, call 021 041 3920 to check availability. The online form is not an emergency service.
Keep these records
- Building and site documentation applicable to your project
- Support, connection and transport details
- Product manuals, servicing records and any warranties
Keep a dated record of observations, cleaning, servicing and repairs. Share relevant records when asking for help. Only carry out work you can do safely and competently; use the appropriate qualified trade for specialist work.
