TrickyBuilds guidance · Checked 22 October 2026 · About TrickyBuilds
This is a general care guide for this service. Use the instructions for the products actually installed and the information supplied for your job. Manufacturer links are reference resources, not a statement that those brands were used on your project.
Looking after the work
- Keep the agreed scope and handover notes so you can distinguish renewed items from existing parts of the home.
- Follow the actual coating and flooring instructions for drying, curing and cleaning. Do not assume every surface is ready for wet cleaning immediately.
- Check accessible junctions between existing and new finishes. Photograph changes with a date and an object for scale.
- Before drilling or hanging heavy objects, check where services, bracing or fire-rated linings may be present. Ask us if the wall construction is unclear.
When to contact us
- Cracks that widen, repeated sticking doors or water stains.
- A damaged lining or fixing in an area identified as bracing or fire protection.
For an immediate threat to people, leave the danger area and call 111. For urgent building assistance, call 021 041 3920 to check availability. The online form is not an emergency service.
Keep these records
- Scope, variations and before/after photographs
- Finish schedule and relevant product manuals
- Any consent, engineering and trade documentation for the work
Keep a dated record of observations, cleaning, servicing and repairs. Share relevant records when asking for help. Only carry out work you can do safely and competently; use the appropriate qualified trade for specialist work.
